INTERNATIONAL NEWS was once a rarity in Myanmar. For approximately 50 years of military rule the people lived in virtual isolation. But since the elections of 2010, there have been changes in the media – including at ‘The Voice’ newspaper in Rangoon – and in cooperation with German partners. On behalf of the German Government, GIZ is involved primarily in ­Myanmar’s vocational education and training system.
